Wild Rose Shores

Wild Rose Shores

This quaint property, built in 1935 by Marshall Field as a summer cottage, sits quietly above the South River in Annapolis Maryland. The home has been fully modernized both inside and out. The goal of the landscape design was to add modern amenities, such as the vanishing edge pool and outdoor kitchen, yet maintain the overall charm of an early 20th century summer cottage. Where possible, existing mature plants were left untouched and natural flagstone, boulders, building stone and wood were all incorporated in order to create multiple seating and entertaining areas. Planting beds were created and filled with various flowering perennials, shrubs and grasses that soften the landscape while adding season long interest with their color and textures.
